As explained in the page commenting about the individual runes
listed on the left-hand-side of all the pages in this runes section,
there are several names for each rune so we had to make a choice
about how to present them here.
This page is for the benefit of readers who prefer to look-up the
individual runes using their Germanic names rather than their English
names.
The above shows that some runes have at least three different names
in the modern literature. They probably had very many more names
in the past - and if we were to include their names in other relevant
languages such as Old Norse and the modern Scandinavian languages.
